ICI HISTORY

The establishment of Isuzu Cebu, Inc. reinforced the formidable union between Isuzu - a global leader in diesel engine technology and Ayala Corporation - one of the oldest, largest, most respected and most widely diversified business houses in the Philippines.

On July 8, 1998 , Isuzu Cebu, Inc. (ICI) was established as a franchised dealer of Isuzu commercial vehicles with a mission to be the benchmark of customer service and to be a market leader. A subsidiary of ISUZU AUTOMOTIVE DEALERSHIP, INC. (IADI) and wholly owned by Ayala Corporation, Isuzu Cebu, Incorporated’s first branch and head office was inaugurated in Jagobiao, Mandaue City.

Local partnerships are forged to develop markets in the region and stir their respective local economies. Continuing partnerships in Tacloban, Ormoc, Bohol and Dumaguete, some established even prior to the start of ICI operations, strengthened the brand and made Isuzu products available in areas with uncertain viability.

Synergism is achieved through collaboration with other business institutions and media outfits resulting in an increased dealership awareness and stronger brand equity.

RESPONSIBLE MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY

Our products are extension of ourselves, and we want to give something back to the world. In ICI, we take pride in selling world-class vehicles that does not only demonstrate superior diesel technology but are also results of excellent environmental engineering. However, our work doesn’t end there.

We, in ICI, take part in enhancing every one’s quality of life in this planet through cleaner air as well as preserving our natural resources for the current and future generations.

And as a responsible partner, we continually promote this advocacy by increasing public understanding and participation through a conscious effort in the implementation of our marketing activities.

We work closely with the various government and non-government organizations as well as green earth advocates in advancing the crusade towards improving air quality and promoting efficient and sustainable use of energy.

Through our Treasure Quest project held every environment month of June, for the past 5 years, we had conducted to over 800 participants briefings on clean air campaign, preventive maintenance and defensive and fuel-efficient driving techniques. Simultaneously, we had organized fuel economy runs to emphasize the importance of energy conservation and emission tests in consonance with our clean air campaign – a valuable demonstration of public and private sector partnership, shared responsibility and accountability.

It is ICI’s commitment to balance out company profitability while contributing positively to our communities. Together with various civic, professional and school organizations, we work together to respond not only to the environmental concerns but to the health and wellness needs of the people in our community.

Over the last 10 years Isuzu Cebu, Inc. has grown even bigger with the establishment of 4 branches namely; Isuzu Mandaue in Jagobiao in 1998; Isuzu Cebu satellite branch in the Cebu Business Park Area in 2000, Isuzu Iloilo in 2007 and soon, Isuzu Bohol by the end of this year.

As Isuzu Cebu, Inc. turns 10 in 2008, we salute the men and women behind the organization for their ingenuity, dynamism, dedication and staying power.
