The Search for Magikerong Pilipino 2010
This September, Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) and Virginia Foods, in cooperation with KSM Events Management, will hold the first-ever invitational search for the best open-stage magician in the Philippines, entitled “The Search for the Illusive Magikerong Filipino”.
This search is going to be launched to give avenue to all Filipinos who have the passion about magic and to showcase Filipino talent at its best aside from singing and dancing. There will be a series of elimination during the month of August in different parts of the country for the top 12 magicians. The culminating event will be held in Manila on September 30, 2010.
For the Cebu leg, the elimination will be on September 2, 2010 in a closed-door venue then have the finals on September 3, Friday at the Ayala Center Cebu.
Junior, adult, and merlin magicians with experiences on close-up, illusion, stage, children or comedy magic acts are all welcome to join this competition.

MECHANICS:
- Open to all earth-loving and photography-loving individuals (amateurs and professionals)
- Photos must portray the Green Initiative of any Retail Business ( stores , shops, boutiques, dept stores, food and non-food alike, etc).
- Green Initiatives maybe green products, the use of eco bags, various green campaigns, green practices etc..
- There should be no BRAND visible in all the entries submitted.
- All entries must be in 8” x 10” (8R), colored or B & W prints, not mounted and placed inside an envelope together with the film or raw and jpeg files in a CD
- All entries must NOT have borders or watermarks.
- Name of contestant must be written on the envelope.
- Photos may be taken using either digital or conventional cameras; minimal digital enhancement is allowed
- Photos must be taken from March 25-May 25, 2010. Date of formal awarding to be announced.
- Winning entries will be on display during the 4th Regional Retail Conference at Cebu Parklane Hotel on June 29, 2010.
- Each entry must be accompanied by an information sheet provided below.
- Participants can send as many entries as possible.
- The entry should not have been entered in any other competition and not have been published in any print media and internet websites.
- PRA reserves the right to use the submitted pictures in our future EBC campaigns for all winning entries.
- Registration is FREE

Russian Hacker Selling 1.5M Facebook Accounts
A Russian hacker who says he is living in New Zealand attempted to sell the login details of millions of Facebook users – an unprecedented attack on the world’s biggest social networking site.
Detectives from the National Cyber Crime Centre are investigating whether the hacker Kirllos is using New Zealand as a base to commit internet fraud.
Kirllos is offering the user names and passwords of 1.5 million Facebook users for between $35 and $62.70 per 1000 accounts sold on an underground hacker forum.
